Administrative information about individuals in Wales that use NHS services; such as address and practice registration history. It replaced the NHS Wales Administrative Register (NHSAR) in 2009.

Data drawn from GP practices via Exeter System.

This dataset provides linkage from anonymous individual to anonymous residences, thus enable to group households of individuals.

The views currently being provisioned to new projects have 'SINGLE' in their title.

A cleaned version of the new single-view Welsh Demographic Service (WDS) table from Digital Health and Care Wales (DHCW), which supersedes the three-view WDS tables. The cleaning involves the following: removing errors such as duplicate or overlapping records; closing gaps of up to 30 days, since a short gap doesn't likely represent a move out of Wales and therefore shouldn't be a gap in the followup period; joining consecutive records with the same information to make processing easier; and extending follow-up time to birth when records start within 6 weeks of birth. Several versions of this table are created, combining records at different geography levels. This one presents data at the household level, using SAIL's anonymous household ID (Residential Anonymised Linking Field - RALF), and and additionally provides LSOA 2001 codes.

Requirements for continuous follow-up can always be applied by searching for a single record.

Known issues include full-time students, people failing to notify GPs of change in address, and/or people registering with multiple GPs [de-registration of patients]. Continuous periods of residency may not exist; gaps of more than 30 days are flagged.
