The data collection known as 'System Watch' was developed in 2001 to meet the requirements of the System Watch product, which monitors and predicts emergency admissions and bed occupancy in mainland NHS Boards. The data collection is now known as 'RAPID'. The data collected are management information and have very limited validation.
